What we do
A team of volunteers based primarily in the UK are building a machine that can rebuild melting Arctic ice, by harnessing wind power to pull water from underneath existing ice to the surface, where it will freeze as a new layer.
We have been working on this project for 2 years and now the momentum is building. The Paris agreement was a tipping point for saving the planet and now more than ever, people are joining together to do their bit to fight climate change.

Why SIKU project?
As global temperatures rise, the Arctic ice sheet is disappearing fast.
This will affect all of us over the coming years and is greatly affecting the people who live in the Arctic right now.
What are we doing to help?
We wish to propose a simple engineering solution to help reverse the thinning of the Arctic Ice. Our solution, basically an adapted wind pump, would also benefit small, family-based businesses by providing an income for assembling, maintaining and running the wind pumps.
We need your help!
If like us, you are passionate about saving the planet and helping indigenous communities survive, join our team.
We are looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of the project. We would love to hear from you, especially if you have skills or knowledge in the following areas;
- Arctic Indigenous Communities
